An Introduction To SNAPPS- A New Teaching Learning Model

Clinical teaching is a fundamental part of medical education. But, a major challenge for this is the demand placed on clinical teachers, who have to perform multiple roles. When educational activities compete with other duties, it is often teaching that suffers. Several models have been developed to increase effectiveness in clinical teaching, but their implementation is cumbersome and requires specific training. This book describes one of the innovative clinical teaching methods, ¿SNAPPS¿ for case presentation to assess clinical reasoning and better understanding of the students. SNAPPS is a collaborative case presentation that the student leads and the preceptor facilitates.
