An Indian approach towards Environmental Awareness

Environment is the sum of all biological, physical, chemical, social and economical factors which constitute our surroundings.Man is thus both a creator and molder of the environment since he plays a key role in manupulation the nature so as to draw all the benefits that suits his materialistic needs. With the advancement in industrilization and urbanization there has been tremendous stress on our ecosystem where by their is depletion of natural resources, energy crisis, loss of biodiversity, pollution followed by global warming and ozone depletion. If these environmental problems are not made aware to the citizens it can lead to extinction of large number of species from the planet followed by humans.India being a fast growing and developing country, its view point and approach towards reducing the stress on ecosystem has been cited dowm. The role of religion, politics and law towards tackling the environmental issues.It also caters the need to make people aware the role of environment and how development can be achieved by sharing equal space with the nature and establishing harmony on mother Earth.
