Amfiteatr Flawiuszów. Architektura w s¿u¿bie propagandy

Amfiteatr powstä jako jeden z obiektów s¿u¿¿cych propagandzie dynastii rz¿dz¿cej, dzi¿ki którym udäo si¿ jej odzyskä zaufanie ludu do w¿adzy oraz doprowadzi¿ do ustabilizowania sytuacji finansowej i politycznej pästwa.

This dissertation aims to present the Flavian Amphitheatre and its role in the internal policy of the Flavian dynasty (69 - 96 AD). To analyse the political role I take under consideration its construction, layout, and its presence in the archaeological evidence as well as in the works of historians of the ancient era. This Amphitheatre was built as the most important of the several buildings the Flavians used for propaganda purposes. Such strategy allowed them to regain the trust of the Roman people, and to successfully achieve and further secure financial and political stability of the state.
