African Migration and Development

In establishing the link between migration and the issue of development, which is at the heart of this work, questions have arisen as regards the reason for migration. While it might not be all the reasons for migration, human migration has been fundamentally linked to the human desire to seek decent employment and livelihoods. This connection is recognized by the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which provides for a strong link between decent work and migration. This work is a collection of papers presented at the International Conference on ¿Migration and the Identity Question in a Modern World¿, organized by the Association for the Promotion of African Studies.
