African Cooperative Good Governance for Local Development

Faced with the rise of social and solidarity economy enterprises in Africa, faced with the clandestine emigration of young Africans and the unemployment of young graduates exponentially increasing in our continent, faced with the desire for empowerment of young people and African women in our villages in rural, peri-urban and urban areas, the training of cooperators, cooperative leaders and future African cooperative leaders in the good governance of cooperative enterprises allows to have social enterprises well managed and controlled by their social leaders (administrators, managers and internal auditors) that offer a better future to their members by considerably reducing poverty, clandestine youth emigration and unemployment.This manual helps African governments and municipalities concerned to better popularize the OHADA Uniform Act Relating to Cooperative Societies and to create cooperative development societies (SCDs) which are privileged instruments for the involvement of municipal councils in the economic, social, cultural and environmental development of their municipalities.
