Acquisition and exploitation of process elements

The computer industry has experienced an unprecedented boom over the past decade, with a flourishing of companies offering a wide variety of services. Because of this growing demand, one of the most flourishing areas of the software industry, the design of information systems, has developed, offering decision-makers the efficient technical means to manage in a tabular way, the mass of information they are confronted with every day. In this context, we propose a way to define and exploit such software engineering processes. The main objective is the development of a knowledge acquisition tool on software engineering processes, for use within the CIAO-SI project. We focus our work on the aspect of reuse of knowledge acquired on software engineering processes, by third party tools. We use them to populate the knowledge base of software engineering processes of the CIAO-SI project, the application framework of our work.
