A Theoretical Study of Centrifugal Pumps with Liquid-Solid Mixture

Determining the individual characteristic of centrifugal pumps transporting solid liquid mixtures is of great importance in technological processes of pipeline transportation of various products such as iron ore, phosphate and coal. The selection of pumps for any transportation system depends mainly on previous experiments and/or or the execution of the pump with clear water. Several researchers have demonstrated that the operating system of centrifugal pumps depend on the behavior of the mixture that is Newtonian or other.The theological properties are used to determine the selection of pumps to optimize the pressure drop i.e. the energy loss in the transportation; it is the transportation of solid liquid mixtures with a well defined concentration.
