A Text Book on Geomorphology

The subject matter ¿Geomorphology¿ is one of the basic disciplines in physical Geography. It is the sub discipline of the geological sciences, which study the origin and evolution of the earth¿s landforms, both on the continents and within the ocean basins. Geomorphology is characteristics of the earth sciences as a whole in its emphasis on an interdisciplinary approach. The rapidly evolving discipline of Geomorphology has undergone change in methodology and approaches to the study of landforms and related processes since 1945 when Horton R.E. introduced quantitative methods for the analysis of morphometric characteristics of fluvial originated drainage basin. This material presents landform Geography in terms of its essentiality to students in secondary schools and higher learning institutions in terms of its simplicity, broadness. Therefore it will be helpful for professionals who are working in similar disciplines and it is targeted to reduce shortage of teaching materials. In view of the author position, this book can equip readers and students with holistic knowledge in the field of landform sciences.
