The aim to write this book is to deliver a complete knowledge of history, climate, architecture of Ahmedabad along with a guidance for making Ahmedabad city one of the best cites in India in terms of environment for living having perfect architecture as well as interior perspective. The first chapter discusses about the Architectural monuments of Gujarat in a wider perspective focusing more on Ahmedabad from 20th century classical architecture to modern and contemporary architecture. The heritage of a place is what sets it apart from all other places. Preserving places remembers the past while preparing for the future. Preserving places saves the culture of the people who came before as well as guide the future architects to follow the techniques without technology.Second chapter discusses about the climatic conditions of Ahmedabad which is very important aspect while designing. Changing climatic conditions and dramatic increases in carbon dioxide will put our ecosystems to the test, threatening supplies of fresh water, clean air, fuel and energy resources, food, medicine and other matters we depend upon not just for our lifestyles but for our survival.
