Beschreibung

In April 1980, the former British colony of Rhodesia became the Republic of Zimbabwe. It has been ruled since 1980 by Robert Mugabe, who is the leader of the Zimbabwe African National Union ¿ Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF).Despite recent constitutional changes, and the prior establishment of the Anti-Corruption Commission of Zimbabwe (ZACC), Transparency International ranked Zimbabwe 150 out of 165 countries in Corruption Perception Index 2015.1 This makes Zimbabwe the most corrupt state in southern Africa. Although the ranking improved compared to 156th place in 2014,2 the country is still struggling with widespread corrupt activities.
