The book is based on the data obtained from two years long field experiment carried out with split plot design. The experiment comprised three inter-cropping systems (pigeonpea sole, pigeonpea + greengram and pigeonpea + blackgram) as main plot treatment and six weed management practices(pre and post-emergence herbicides and their combinations) as sub plot treatment. Among weed management practices pre- emergence application of pendimethalin @ 1.0 kg a.i.\/ha followed by post- emergence imazethapyr @ 0.1 kg a.i.\/ha proved as the best weed management practice for pigeonpea based inter-cropping systems.
