The purpose of the study was to work with and empower students \u0026amp; staff of the school improve their health status, specifically to achieve the following objectives; (a) identify problems affecting the health of students \u0026amp; staff of the school, (b) prioritize health related problems faced by students \u0026amp; staff of the school, (c) identify the most appropriate solutions and locally available resources to solve the problems, and (d) equip students \u0026amp; staff of the school with appropriate health promotion skills. An action research approach (qualitative study design) was used. Methods to collect data during community diagnosis included; transect walk and observation, focus group discussion and reference to relevant literatures.
