Its reveals that the intensity of women of rights violation like sexual harassment, dowry, suicide, divorce, eve teasing, rape, acid throwing are the common forms of violence against women. The main reasons of violence against women are dowry, dominating tendency of male, male dependency of women, low economic status, lack of proper implementation of laws and traditional values etc. The study identifies that violence against women has consequences for both the wider society and the individual. Finally in order to combat violence against women, a change in the mindset is crucial.
