These symptoms are same as other\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eestablished addictions so Internet overuse is an addictive disorder. On the other hand,\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eresearchers who oppose this term say that it is no more than a symptom of other, existing\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003edisorders like depression, anxiety, impulsive control disorders or pathological gambling.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eSome even say that Internet overuse is pathological like gambling but the Internet is largely a\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003epro-social, interactive and information driven medium, offers several direct benefits as a\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003etechnological advancement in our society while gambling is seen as a single, anti-social\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ebehavior that has very little social value.
