In terms of the negative results of PISA, the\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eapproach to reading comprehension has immensely changed. Didactics have found out\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ethat tackling (literary) texts in the traditional way hardly motivates learnes to achieve\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003egood results. Therefore, it is more useful to centre topics and literary texts which have\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003esignificance for the learners, treat them in a different way and employing new methods,\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003esuch as reading different texts in the English lessons (for example ¿Harry Potter¿) and\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eapplying creative writing. Reading, writing, learning English should make sense to the\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003epupils. ¿ESL2\/EFL learners need a reason to read.¿3 Fortunately, these changes are\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eeven visible in the current curricula guidelines.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIn my term paper, I will lay the focus on pre-, while- and post-reading-activities with\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eregard to literature.
