Diabetes is growing in today¿s world at a very high speed and indeed Oral Hypoglycaemic agents are one of the major breakthroughs in this context. But because of short plasma half life \u0026amp; repetitive dosing, this treatment becomes inconvenient and problematic. In the present work, efforts were made to design a biodegradable micro-particulate drug delivery system which promises in maintaining the plasma drug level without repetitive dosing. The primary objective of the present research work was to prepare a long circulating drug delivery system of oral hypoglycaemic drugs for long term management of Type-II diabetes mellitus with improved efficacy by microsphere for overcoming the problems of drug delivery through conventional dosage forms.
