This book therefore examines four characteristic strategies in modern times: the ‘\n›dream of Compostela‹ as one component – among others – of Roman Catholicism, liberal adaptation to modernity as a particular form of Protestantism, evangelical evangelisation, as it is particularly present in the USA, and the Pentecostal movements, as they are widespread worldwide and especially in the global South. \n                \n                \u003cbr\u003e\n                                Strengths and weaknesses are explored on the basis of the criteria of communicating the Gospel and a culture of participation.
