Undoubtedly, religion not only plays a vital role\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ein terms of beliefs and practices connecting to the supernatural, but current research\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eindicates a host of socio-psychological gains for the individual in terms hope, optimism,\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eagency, sense of inner control and coping strategies (Deiner \u0026amp; Clifton, 2002; Heelas \u0026amp;\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWoodhead, 2005; Hood, Hill \u0026amp; Spilka, 2009; Jodhka, 2012; Paloutzian \u0026amp; Park, 2005;\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ePargment, 1997; Pargament \u0026amp; Mahoney, 2005; Park, 2005: Ysseldyk et. al. 2011).
