Inclusion criteria were used for this purpose, such as: that the programs should focus on the female population and that they should be offered in Ibero-America. It became evident that the programs found in Ibero-America represent a deficient treatment for women, that they mainly offer programs that reproduce gender stereotypes, that their particular population needs are unknown and that the creation of post-custodial programs is linked to the gaps in the penitentiary systems.
