Subsequently these models have been  criticized and found to be inadequate in explaining  the observation. The lack of mechanistic basis is the  real flaw of these models. This book therefore  provides a process based modelling to explain the  paved road particulate matter emissions and gives a  new direction in identifying the processes involved  in the emission process.
