{"product_id":"off-farm-activities-and-welfare-of-the-beneficiaries-von-sam-nkuranga","title":"Off-Farm Activities and Welfare of the Beneficiaries","description":"\u003cp\u003eThe objectives of this study were to determine the level of households earnings from off-firm economic activities in the study area, to find out the key welfare improvement indicators celebrated by the beneficiaries and to evaluate the relationship between the contributions of off-farm economic activities and the welfare of the beneficiaries. The researcher employed a correlational research design. The findings for objective one revealed that people who are involved in off-farm activities are likely to increase their earnings as presented by 77(50.9%) of respondents. The study also shows that Tailoring is mostly preferred activity by CORE Project¿ beneficiaries as they were 32(21.1%) of respondents. It was also found that the availability of capacity trainings as mentioned by 39(25.7%) of respondents motivated them to do off-farm activities. Objective two of this study revealed that food security was the most celebrated welfare indicator as mentioned by 33(21.7%) of the respondents.
