Brewka, J. Dix, and K. Konolige.\nFifteen selected papers follow, on a variety of topics. The\nmajority of papers belong either to the area of nonmonotonic\nreasoning or to the field of inductive inference, but\nsome papers integrate research from both areas.\nThe first workshop in this series was held at the University\nof Karlsruhe in December 1990 and its proceedings were\npublished as Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence Volume\n543. The series of workshops was made possible by financial\nsupport from Volkswagen Stiftung, Hannover.
