But estimation of HbA1c by  DCA 2000 + Analyzer is very costly, not easily  available in all labs due to its high equipment and  reagent cost, and its specificity to glycated  hemoglobin HbA1c and not to total glycatedhemoglobin;  it cannot be widely and  extensively used. But the modified NBT reduction  method is a cost effective, feasible, and sensitive  method for the estimation of total glycated  hemoglobin (Globin bound fructosamine); hence it  can be used widely and extensively. This book provides a new line to  cost effective diagnosis and treatment analysis  particularly in developing countries.
