The second preoccupation was to discover coping strategies of secondary school teachers in the management of job stress. A sample of 200 secondary school teachers in Buea Sub-Division was used for this study. A questionnaire was the instrument for data collection, while the statistical analysis of data was done using the chi-square test. The results revealed the following: It is very likely that teachers lose enthusiasm for their work when they have a sense of under-promotion.
