Secondly, expert interviews with four ecommerce\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003estart-up managers and one consultant for the jewellery industry to analyse the\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003especial challenges in e-commerce for jewellery retailers. Thirdly, by combining these results\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eand appropriate solution approaches based on the expert interviews and further literature\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003edeveloping a basic guideline how to handle these factors at an investment in e-commerce.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eFindings: Many general e-commerce success factors, difficulties and risks in e-commerce\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eapply also for the jewellery retailers. For jewellery retailers the picture quality, page design\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eand customer trust is more important as in other industries.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eLimitations: The focus of study and guideline is on e-commerce for B2C jewellery retailers,\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ethere is no examination about product development or selection.
