It was evident from the results of the initial research\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ethat further investigation was required to evaluate which DoS threat were of most concern to\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eSMEs (Small to Medium sized Enterprises). Through practical experimentation in a\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003econtrolled network laboratory environment, a number of DoS attacks that are of current\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003econcern to SMEs were investigated, the main purpose of this investigation was to evaluate\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eappropriate mitigation strategies to secure against the identified DoS attacks.
