Each remote antenna receives radio frequency signals and transmits them over optical fiber link up to a central station for signal processing. A RoF system can further be enhanced by incorporating the dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) technique for bandwidth utilization and ultra high speed communication. The present work aims to present a model for such a RoF system that operates at a high speed while having huge capacity. After an extensive literature review over the topic it was concluded that there is still a long way to go as far as RoF systems are concerned.
