Das Projekt \n                    \n                    \u003ci\u003eFrom Net, City, World to Cloud, Market, Sea\u003c\/i\u003e\n                                         untersucht entlang von sprachlichen Bildern Imaginationen von und Erfahrungen mit dem Internet: \n                    \n                    \u003ci\u003eNet\u003c\/i\u003e\n                                         steht für die Relationen und Verbindungen zwischen Infrastrukturen, \n                    \n                    \u003ci\u003eCity\u003c\/i\u003e\n                                         fasst den Cyberspace als einen urbanen und sozialen Ort auf, \n                    \n                    \u003ci\u003eWorld\u003c\/i\u003e\n                                         bezieht sich auf Utopien jenseits von physischen und politischen Gesetzen, \n                    \n                    \u003ci\u003eCloud\u003c\/i\u003e\n                                         markiert das Internet als einen ephemeren und dezentralen Speicherort, mit \n                    \n                    \u003ci\u003eMarket\u003c\/i\u003e\n                                         wird seine Kommerzialisierung in den Fokus gerückt und \n                    \n                    \u003ci\u003eSea\u003c\/i\u003e\n                                         eröffnet die Metaphorik des Wassers für den digitalen Datenstrom.\n                \n                \u003c\/p\u003e\n                                \n                \u003cp\u003eDas künstlerische Forschungsprojekt und die abschließende Publikation zeichnen anhand dieser sechs Begriffe unterschiedliche Geschichtlichkeiten und Narrative des Internets nach. Jede der sechs Metaphern wird in drei Beiträgen von Künstler*innen, Theoretiker*innen und Lyriker*innen erkundet, die sich in unterschiedlichen Formaten mit dem Phänomen auseinandersetzen. The project \n                    \n                    \u003ci\u003eFrom Net, City, World to Cloud, Market, Sea\u003c\/i\u003e\n                                         homes in on key metaphors to scrutinize imaginations of the internet and online experiences: \n                    \n                    \u003ci\u003eNet\u003c\/i\u003e\n                                         stands for the interrelations and interconnections between infrastructures; \n                    \n                    \u003ci\u003eCity\u003c\/i\u003e\n                                         conceives of cyberspace as an urban and social environment; \n                    \n                    \u003ci\u003eWorld\u003c\/i\u003e\n                                         refers to utopias unconstrained by the laws of physics and politics; \n                    \n                    \u003ci\u003eCloud\u003c\/i\u003e\n                                         marks the internet as an ephemeral and decentral storage space; \n                    \n                    \u003ci\u003eMarket\u003c\/i\u003e\n                                         brings its commercialization into focus; and \n                    \n                    \u003ci\u003eSea\u003c\/i\u003e\n                                         taps into the metaphor of water for the flow of digital data.\n                \n                \u003c\/p\u003e\n                                \n                \u003cp\u003eGuided by these six terms, the artistic research project and the publication with which it concludes retrace diverse historical dimensions and narratives of the internet. Each of the six metaphors is explored in three contributions by artists, theorists, and lyric poets who employ a variety of formats to grapple with the phenomenon.
