It investigates the effects of the genocide in terms of their self-awareness, which will be put into a historical and contemporary context. The study subjects are Sinti in the third generation after the Second World War. The data used in this\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ecase study are extracted from interviews with the family Schwarz from Oldenburg, a city in Germany. The study within research leads to the conclusion that the subjects of the post-war era interpret their own discriminatory experiences on the background of traditional stories of the holocaust. This can lead either to a negative or positive perception of their own Sinti identity.
