Poverty reduction and climate change mitigation are among the most prominent global challenges. These challenges are addressed by means of the Millenium Development Goals and the implementation of new international organisations. The book illustrates the complexity of poverty eradication and its interdependence with environmental protection strategies. The individual contributions highlight different aspects of European development aid and global environmental protection.
