Im Fokus der Aufnahmen stehen die Gebrauchsspuren diverser Karosserien. So dokumentiert Cséry eine bemerkenswerte Vielfalt von Texturen, Formen und Farben von Autoteilen, deren Oberflächen sich durch Rost, Oxidation, Schmutz oder Lackabplatzungen auszeichnen. We tend to actively ignore small dents or flaws as though they did not exist, and try to airbrush scratches and smooth out peculiarities. For his photographic series \n                    \n                    \u003ci\u003eCracks and Dents\u003c\/i\u003e\n                                         (2016–2018), Lycien-David Cséry (b. Tarmstedt, Germany, 1985; lives and works in Buchenberg, Germany) studied these imperfections. The focus of his shots is on the traces of wear on various vehicle bodies.
