Increase in the number of  immunocompromised agents and emergence of resistant  strains though have provided an impetus for  discovery of newer molecules belonging to different  chemical classes. Coumarin has been reported to  exhibit a range of biological activities. A number  of coumarin based molecules have shown remarkable  antibacterial activity. In the present work we  report design synthesis and evaluation of a series  some coumarin based Schiff''s bases as potential  antimicrobial agents.
