Thsi bone graft was used in  extraction socket of the mandibular third molar.  Clinical, radiological and histological study was  done for six months at various intervals to evaluate  biocompatibility of the material and compare the  regeneration of the bone in the alveolar socket.     The study showed that Chitra- Calcium Phosphate  Cement (graft material) is biocompatible and has no  significant soft tissue reaction. The material  maintains the alveolar bone height when used to fill  extraction sockets and accelerates bone regeneration  in the extraction sockets.
