The AH-64 \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003efeatures double and triple-rendundant \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003esystems that ensure maximum survivability\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ein combat, and an awesome array of \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eweapons that can include Hellfire missiles \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eand a 30mm M230 Chain Gun that can be \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eslaved to the pilot¿s head movements via a\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ehelmet mounted display (IHADSS).  \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe Apache first saw combat during the \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003einvasion of Panama in 1989, and \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003econducted the first attack of Operation \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eDesert Storm in 1991, flying into Iraq to \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003edestroy enemy radar systems.  AH-64s are \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ecredited with destroying over 500 tanks \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eduring that conflict.  They continued their \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eservice in Bosnia and Kosovo, in Operation \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eFreedom in Afghanistan.
