Since the colonial era until today, the political powers have encountered several problems in meeting the transport needs of the Senegalese. To circumvent these difficulties, they used the informal sector in 1945, 1990 and in the 2000s, observing that informal transport contributes massively to air pollution, they decided to replace the traditional buses (rapid buses and Ndiaga Ndiaye) with new buses to fill the transport gap without success.
