To run this  study the students¿ reading ability was examined in a longitudinal study of two groups from  second-grade students in high school exposed to six reading tests.  Group A with twenty subjects began their exam with three narrative tests and ended to  three expository ones. Conversely, group B began with three expository tests and ended to  three narrative ones.  The analyses of data have been made using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation  coefficient and independent-samples T-Test. The findings confirm significant relationship  between two modes of discourse in total score. (r =0.56 P=0.0001).
