This study aimed to contribute  to such an understanding by exploring livelihood  situations of poor communities and households, and  by considering their perceptions of their own  situations. Also an attempt has been made here to  draw an attention of intellectuals and policymakers  regarding current meaning of the term poverty and  evaluation of reasons for the existence of this  problem in third world countries.
