The novels at the focus of the study are Charles Dickens¿ Great Expectations (1861); Peter Carey¿s Jack Maggs (1997); and Lloyd Jones¿ Mister Pip (2006). Theoretical background of the study presents a survey of the forms of perception, production and representation of time and space, starting from the nineteenth century and reaching to the twenty first century.
