He was professor of Modern German Literature at the University of East Anglia, and is the author of \u003ci\u003eThe Emigrants\u003c\/i\u003e which won the Berlin Literature Prize, the Literatur Nord Prize and the Johannes Bobrowski Medal, \u003ci\u003eThe Rings of Saturn\u003c\/i\u003e and \u003ci\u003eAusterlitz\u003c\/i\u003e. W. G. Sebald died in 2001.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eMichael Hulse and Simon Rae (Translators) \u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003eMichael Hulse teaches poetry at Warwick University and regularly does reading tours in the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and India. He is based in Warwick. Simon Rae is a playwright , novelist and broadcaster (he presented Radio 4's 'Poetry Please' for several years). He lives in Banbury, Oxfordshire.
