The acetic acid-induced writhing response, tail immersion test and hot plate test were used to assess antino-ciceptive activity. For evaluation of anti-inflammatory activity, carrageenan induced paw edema served as acute model. At a dose, ATG (100, 200 and 400 mg\/kg, p.o.) significantly attenuated the writhing responses induced by an intraperitoneal injection of acetic acid and at ATG (200 and 400 mg\/kg, p.o.) significantly increased pain latencies in tail immersion and hot plate test. In addition, the higher doses of ATG (200 and 400 mg\/kg, p.o.) were inhibited carrageenan induced paw edema.
