The 4-benzylidene-2-phenyloxazol-5-one (2) has been prepared from cyclo condensation reaction between N-benzoyl glycine(1) with benzaldehyde. The novel prepared compounds were characterized by IR, 1H-NMR,13C-NMR and Mass spectral data.
