The model can be used as an approach to scrutinise  the plan. The model provides a good facility to test the planning values in order  to see if they are effectively planned. For example, the model can be fed with the  values of the number of staff planned to conduct the project work, their  productivity and the amount of work needed to be done, in order to foresee if the staff  and the productivity are adequate to perform the required amount of work.
