The main objectives of  the present  study are  (i). To study the  bulk   and  intensity  properties  of   MCSs  with   respect to atmospheric energetic  over the tropics.   (ii). To develop a  region specifics  algorithm  to estimate  the intensity  of  MCSs with the help of  atmospheric energetic parameters and    (iii). To develop a region specific rain retrieval algorithm for exclusive  MCSs with the help  of satellite onboard  passive microwave sensors.
