Applications of the\nlimit theorems to simulation of random sets, statistical\ntests, polygonal approximations of compacts, limit              theorems\nfor pointwise maxima of random functions are                       considered.\nSeveral open problems are mentioned.\nAddressed primarily to researchers in the theory of random\nsets, stochastic geometry and extreme   value theory, the book\nwill also be of interest to applied mathematicians   working\non applications of extremal processes and their                     spatial\ncounterparts.
