This informal collective of artists and writers exerted a powerful influence over early twentieth-century British culture. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIn 1912 Virginia married Leonard Woolf, a writer and social reformer. Three years later, her first novel \u003ci\u003eThe Voyage Out\u003c\/i\u003e was published, followed by \u003ci\u003eNight and Day\u003c\/i\u003e (1919) and \u003ci\u003eJacob's Room\u003c\/i\u003e (1922). Between 1925 and 1931 Virginia Woolf produced what are now regarded as her finest masterpieces, from \u003ci\u003eMrs Dalloway \u003c\/i\u003e(1925) to \u003ci\u003eThe Waves\u003c\/i\u003e (1931). She also maintained an astonishing output of literary criticism, short fiction, journalism and biography.
