To reach this goal the innovation\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eand knowledge potential of the organization has to be activated.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eTherefore the significance of leadership increases.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe goal of the report is to give the reader an insight on what leadership\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003equalities are about, to bring together several existing approaches and to\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003estructure leadership qualities. It will be analyzed whether it is possible to\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003efind a set of leadership qualities, which constitutes an ideal leader.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAt first leadership will be described in a historical context. Then three\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003etheoretical concepts will be explained and brought in line with a synthesis.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThose are the manager types by Maccoby, The continuum of leadership\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ebehavior of Tannenbaum and Schmidt and the fields of leadership\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003equalities by Kets de Vries with amendments of the authors. To find\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eout whether an ideal leader exists the theory will be applied on two\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eChief Executive Officers.
